BOGO Nightmare: A Glitchy Site & Infuriating Customer Service 😡
I'm writing this to warn others about my awful experience. I was drawn in by a BOGO promotion, but after multiple attempts, the site glitched and wouldn't apply it. I had to reach out to customer service, hoping for a simple fix, but what I got was an infuriating runaround. It confirmed my final opinion of them: "Dishonest, doesn't honor promos. Makes it impossible to collect offer when the site is full of glitches. No customer Service 24 hours, no agent. Unprofessional." The whole exchange was so frustrating I felt compelled to share it.
Customer: Your website's BOGO promo glitched and charged me for both pairs of glasses. I need you to honor the deal and refund me for the second pair.
CS Rep: I'm very sorry for the technical issue you experienced. I see your order, but our policy for a missed BOGO promo requires you to return both pairs and then place a new order using the code.
Customer: That's an absurd solution. The glasses are the correct style and prescription. Why would I send them back? Just credit my card for the amount of the second pair. It's simple.
CS Rep: I understand your frustration, but I cannot process a partial refund directly back to your card for this promotion. The return-and-reorder process is the only way the system can apply the discount.
Customer: That’s ridiculous and unprofessional. You admit the error was yours, but you want to make it my problem to solve. I won't be doing that.
CS Rep: I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. I have documented your feedback for our technical team, but I'm afraid my hands are tied by the current policy.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
